Dr Dannielle Roche

Research and Knowledge Exchange Assistant | Oxford

Dannielle holds a BSc in Environmental Science and an MSc in Climate Change from the University of East Anglia. She is currently finalising her PhD in Soil Science at Cranfield University. Dannielle focused on the potential role of biostimulants in improving soil health and crop quality, partnered closely with Sainsbury's. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dannielle has gained practical experience working with Suffolk County Council, where she focused on Energy Efficiency Outreach. In this role, she provided support and advice on available audits and funding opportunities.

Dannielle has authored multiple peer-reviewed papers on agronomy and farmer technology engagement, as well as engaging with wider audiences through volunteering as the British Society of Soil Science as their Early Career's Committee Chair and the Women in Food and Farming network in their communications and operations team, showcasing her expertise in these areas. Her work has gained international recognition with an observer invitation to speak with global stakeholders at COP27.

Outside of the office, Dannielle enjoys keeping active with a gentle 5k alongside her springer spaniel, travelling across the globe and participating in cool activities (like a bungee jump!) or crocheting with a nice coffee.
